Message from our leader Wheel.

Had a conversation with Daz this evening..still no internet connection for him after 3 weeks of the TalkTalk engineers trying to solve the problem and still no nearer to sorting it out,

He did ask me to Thank Suzanne for the card he received and Nigel for the shirt he sent up over the Christmas holiday, Very generous of you he said....as and when he gets sorted he'll be back with 3 replys to post. I did wish him all the best on behalf of all the regulars (all 12 of us) as and when I heat from him again I'll let you know.

It's good to hear that our revered leader is still here. No news from my side of the globe thus far. Isn't this FUN?

Re: Message from our leader Wheel.

still no internet here folks:-( the talktalk engineer couldn't access the internet on his tablet, and reported the fault to bt,they did a line test, and found no fault, and passed it back to talktalk, they sent me a new router to try,as I was using a modem, still no diferrence thought of trying other companies, but they rent the same line from bt,so wont solve my problem, virgin have there own line, bought from old ninex line, however,it would mean digging up my front garden to connect ,and is not as good a deal financially as my current contract,so at the moment, the situation is no internet, and no idea when I will be back online:_|     daz

Re: Message from our leader Wheel.

I don't care what anyone says...That is not acceptable in this day and age...We've landed people on the moon ( Haven't we?) and BT cannot solve an internet connection problem...Rubbish mate.

When I had a similar problem the other year it was the main junction box for the phone line Wheel......

Re: Message from our leader Wheel.

your right mate, but at the moment all options ive tried to resolve this issue are exhausted, talktalk say thery detect a fault and pass it on to bt,and they do line tests and say there is no fault,so i dont seem to get any further,,,i must have phoned talktalk 40 times in the last 5 weeks.and am getting tired of getting nowhere

Re: Message from our leader Wheel.

Hope you get it sorted ot soon Daz.I nearly went to Talk Talk a few years back, but after over a month with no service threatened them with breach of contract for not supplying the promised service and they let me go back to BT.

Re: Message from our leader Wheel.

This is so wrong Daz. I had heard rumours that talktalk do not give a toss abut their customers - this proves it. What a bunch of losers!

Re: Message from our leader Wheel.

You need an engineer from BT and an engineer from Talk Talk to turn up at the same time and work together. Otherwise, each company's scripted support centres will keep passing the buck.

Re: Message from our leader Wheel.

I heard from a reliable source that most of the connection problems are because of a cock up at the exchange. Engineers are told that connections are free and they plug in new customers and innocently disconnect current customers. X-(

I really hope you get this sorted sooner rather than later, Daz.

Re: Message from our leader Wheel.

Had another chat with Wheel last night and he's still no nearer to getting his problem resolved, he even played me the automated reply from TalkTalk...Had to laugh, Sorry Mate, He said he would stick it out for another couple of days then attempt to transfer to another supplier, but some use the same lines as TalkTalk....funny thing is that the woman who lives a couple of doors down the road IS online with TalkTalk............How do you work that one out, He's had another engineer around from BT where TalkTalk say the fault lies...a young apprentice around 19/20 yeras old....he didn't even have anything with him to try and connect to the internet in Wheel's house...I told Wheel to give Sky a ring and say "This isYour mission Sky.com should you decide to accept it...get me back on-line ASAP"!!!!!!!
