Manchester United Legends IP

Manchester United Legends played Argyle legends today at Plymouth and got a load of my United photos signed by the team at their hotel.15 players came down with the United team and what helped was my mate Paul being one of the main organisers with Arthur Albiston.

As well as getting my team photos,football cards and sheet signed,I got a signed photo from Mickey Thomas (fantastic guy-only too happy to chat with anyone) and Alex Stepney after signing my photos asking if I would like a copy of his autobiography for a tenner which he'd sign for me (the players had brought down a few photos of themselves to sell/sign at the dinner afterwards)

I had a great day Nigel and I much prefer talking to and getting the older players (both IP and TTM) you get some great stories from them.

Alex Stepney was saying he won Match of the Day  'Save of the Season' for a save he made at Anfield,the best thing about it he explained was that the ball was going wide anyway before he put it out for a corner!

Sorry Greg,after all that I forgot to say the score! Argyle Legends beat United Legends 5-3 (probably helped by the fact that Argyle had more Legends to bring on as sub but it's probably the only time we'll beat United-in fact it was probably one of the better games I saw last season!
