I posted this on the Let's talk footy thread yesterday..but one one saw it.
I was sat next to Asa Hartford when Rooney scored that goal. Accy's game had been postponed today at around 1.35pm, Waterlogged pitch so the ref said..No Standing water on the pitch and it was sunshining here, gutted for the Southend fans who had travelled a long way for nothing..Gutted for the club as that's another £50,000 lost revenue and we can't afford this, expenses to be paid to Southend etc...No one's happy. And we'll have to pay again for the re arranged match which will be mid-week, always a smaller crowd.Any way I managed to get inside the ground via the players entrance and asked if Asa Hartford was about" He's waching the footy, Utd V City in the directors lounge...follow me" I just love this club. Sat next to Asa just as Rooney scored that over head kick, Wached the rest of the game, Last 15 mins or so then got Asa to sign a couple of items for a member on here and then bid him farewell. So there you go Jamie Mission accumplished and mail me as to when you'll be in to get them off the postman. I have mailed you this morning mate.

It was really good of you to get that done for Jamie well done to you Alex ., Asa seems like a gent .
There is nothing worse than having a game called off when the pitch seems ok and as you say they are always re-arranged for midweek and that is no good to me .
This is how they used to tell you the Game was off at Celtic Park years ago , imagine travelling for three hours only to be met with this guy :_| .

Nice one Alex. Good of you to get those signed for another member. They look great. It's good when the club lets you in like that. Its a bit like that after the games at MK Dons. As I go round to the main entrance to get graphs regularly, I've got to know the guy on the entrance where the players come out. He will always let me in knowing I am after the players.

WHAT A SUPER CLUB YOU HAVE ALEX AND NICE OF YOU TO HELP JAMIE OUT.
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH FOOTBALL THESE DAYS, MATCHES ARE CALLED OFF SO EASILY. YEARS AGO MATCHES WENT ON NO MATTER WHAT, I THINK IF A PLAYER DROPPED DEAD ON THE PITCH WE WOULD HAVE WENT ON UNTIL HALF TIME THEN DRAGGED HIM OFF, NOWADAYS THEY ARE NIOT ALLOWED TO GET THEIR BOOTS DIRTY..

alex the wheather has been a real bitch this season and at the lower leagues it does really hurt as you say saturday games that bring in more money get changed to midweek lower crowds less money plus you can play 3 games in one week and the players can't cope. i feel better now i've said that. good of asa to sign them for you for jamie well done

Well done Alex for getting Jamie's stuff signed, they look great.
Unfortunately, despite having collected autographs at Argyle for over 30 years a lot of the staff there aren't very helpful-still you'll be able to get them IP next season-assuming they're lucky enough to last that long!
