From last night at Stanley.
Manchester United have fielded a strong-looking Under 21s outfit to face Stanley in the first round of the Lancashire Senior Cup.
Tyler Blackett and James Wilson came on as substitutes against Everton on Sunday while several others have had first team run outs.
These include Ben Amos, Reece James, Will Keane, Saidy Janko, Marnick Vermijl and Andreas Pereira.
Striker James Gray will start for Stanley as will new loan signing Lee Molyneux. Former Red Anthony Barry starts with a view to a loan move from Forest Green.
STANLEY: Simpson, Hatfield, Molyneux, Roberts, Goulding, Barry, Rodden, Mingoia, Gray, McCartan, Bowerman
Subs: Evans, Durnin, Windass, Wolfenden, Downey
MANCHESTER UNITED: Amos, Janko, Vermijl, Blackett, James, Thorpe, Pereira, Weir, Wilson, Keane, Goss
Subs: Grimshaw, O’Hara, Love, Fletcher, Willock
I managed to get13 of the 16 Man Utd Lads that travelled over for last nights game to sign Index cards for me, ( No programme printed for the game) I missed James Wilson plus 2 others, Don't know who, U 21 Manager Warren Joyce signed the Burnley shirt I have on the go, He was at Turf Moore in the mid '90s. also Utd U21 Goalkeeping coach Alan Fettis signed a card for me. had had time at Blackburn Rovers amongst other clubs with several N.Ireland International caps. Deffo got last nights hat-trick hero No 10 Will Keane, One of the few I can read.
Sat behind me in the Stand was former Utd and Stanley player Danny Webber who also signed a card for me. I also picked up a programme from the game I missed while over in Mexico...Added John Coleman to that and our mate down in Plymouth, Rob, Has offered to get that signed for me....Cheers mate.
Not a bad cold wet miserable Tuesday night here in Accrington....must have at least one star of the future amongst this lot??????
