Accrington Stanley (league2) 3
Carlisle Utd (League 1.. Playing with only 9 men) 2.
We managed to knock out last seasons winners of the JP Trophy last night. Happy Days.
Aweful weather all night but managed to get a few to sign. I did get the full Carlisle squad to sign last nights programme plus manager Gregg Abbott and his assistant Graham Kavanagh, I usually miss an odd one but not last night. Jon Paul McGoven, Carlisle's No4, once had a contract with Celtic so I asked him to add his name to a couple of cards in Green Sharpie, (Brian, I don't know if he ever played a game for the Bhoys but he did say that it was difficult to hold down a first team place, he was there 1999-2003) anyway one will be off to you sometime soon. Carlisle's No 29 Stephen O'Halloran ( he has also played for thr Republic of Ireland) started his career at Aston Villa so asked him to sign the Villa shirt I have..Both these players were pleased to be remembered of the good times in their careers..Happy memories no doubt. I also got the 2 remaining Stanley players to add their graphs to the Stanley book I have as a project, No 20 Tom Bender on loan from Colchester and No 23 Padraig Amond who is on loan from Portugeese side Pacos de Ferreira.
Next Round at home to Tranmere..

Brilliant as always Alex. The Villa shirt is really coming along nicely. Some wild signatures there, especially in the prog. Did the worse than usual weather make them rush a bit more?

Nice load of sigs there mate - how do you keep your stuff so dry in crap weather ? or do you you work from the bar in the clubhouse 😉

Just a bit Nigel...not the best of weather on Tuesday but the lads did stop to sign, Thanked them for their time as usual and I always wish them a safe journey home.
If only Ron. tried my best to keep under cover as they passed.

Thanks for that Brian, He did say he'd played in the hoops of the mighty Celtic but didn't say when.
I'll get one out to you soon...Like I said abut your gift..and that's still here.
Won't forget.
