I sent the 1970 League cup final programme off to Gln Pardoe, Via a private address, (Thanks to the member who pointed me in the right direction for this one), On the 7th of March..exactly 41 years to the day since the final was played. Today the programme has been returned to me signed on the Man City team pic and the Man City team write up b Glen.
Glyn Pardoe (born 1 June 1946) is an English former footballer who played for Manchester City between 1962 and 1974. He made his first team debut against Birmingham City in April 1962. Aged 15 years and 314 days, he became Manchester City's youngest ever player, a record which still stands in 2010. A versatile right-footer who played mainly on the left, Pardoe was a forward early in his career, but converted to full-back in 1966, a position he retained for the rest of his career. Pardoe was part of the Manchester City team in the club's most successful era. Under the management of Joe Mercer and Malcolm Allison, the club won the league championship, FA Cup, League Cup and European Cup Winners' Cup in a three year period. Thank you very much.
Such a shame I missed Neil Young, RIP by a day 😞
Should I call it a day now or try for one more? This programme belongs to Sy and I said I'd give it the TTM treatment for a few Graphs to earn a few £ for "Help The Hero's" What should we do?
