Carnival atmosphere here yesterday with both teams safe from relegation it was all out attacking football, 5 goals and a bit of sunshine with a well deserved win taking Stanley to a better points total than last season and finishing in 15th position in league 2 which is our highest place this season...keep it up James Beattie...Big Well done to all involved with the club as after 11 games we were stuck at the bottom of the table with only 2 points.
pecial "K" Kayode Odejayi, No 44 George Bowerman, On loan keeper from Fulham Marcus Bettinelli who was named as "Young Player of the year" after the match and 2 goal hero James Grey.
I finally tracked down Jack Jenkins who was awarded his first Pro Contract with the club yesterday, he became No 116 in the project book..made 2 sub apperaances this season whilst I was on Holiday. This book will now be retired after 4 seasons with every player to kick a ball for Stanley in that time in it and with sigs from former Stanley players amongst them.
On top of that Briteny managed 12 Stanley players on a shirt after the game...Odejayi, Joyce, Miller, Murphy, Bettinelli, Liddle, Winnard, Player of the Season Tom Aldred, Hunt, Dawber, Carver and finally Will Hatfield. Briteny will fill this next season I'm sure.
And to finish off Stanley full back Dean Winard gave his match worn boots to Briteny and signed them for her as did Tom Aldred as I said he was voted "Stanley player of the season" after the game, he aslo gave his match worn boots to Briteny and sined and dedicated them to her.................AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Top Blokes at a top club at the wrong end of the football league but we love 'em.
Big, Big Thanks to James Beattie( He stuck by his guns during a very difficult spell from August to December but so of us had faith in him, The Boy done good if you ask me) and the Squad and staff for another good season with League footballl to follow next year.
Big thanks to all who stopped and signed and a Massive THANKs YOU to Dean and Tom for the signed books..We live to fight another day. Keep the Faith!
I think that's everything...........Enjoy.

What a brilliant season finale for both you and Briteny. Well done with the book. It's been fun seeing it fill up. And what a great gesture from Dean Winard and Tom Aldred. Briteny must be beaming.
Accrington Stanley, who are they? They're the team who really appreciate their supporters. Good to see.
Boots on the tablecloth? Your missus will go maaad!
