I really enjoyed tonights episode and as River Song would say,I avoided the 'spoilers' so I didn't realise that John Hurt would appear as the (final?) Doctor.
Have you got your photo and letter ready for posting to him yet Nigel?
I must try writing to Jenna Louise Coleman-really like her in the role . Can't wait until November!

Awesome episode. Like you I watch spoiler free, so did not know about the great surprise ending. It will be a long wait unil November.
I know many send off autograph requests to people they hear are in upcoming episodes, but I prefer not to, and wait until after the broadcast. It has also allowed me to be logo specific when they have changed the logo for episodes.I will be doing my requests tomorrow. 🙂

I thought you'd be getting your TTM request ready. I've enjoyed this series as I think Steven Moffat tried to make the last series a bit too complicated some times (maybe I'm starting to get old and find the plot harder to follow) but I think Matt and Jenna have a great chemistry on screen which has this series better.

That ending definitely goes down as one of the best surprises ever. The 50th anniversary episode is going to be awesome based on this teaser. Also, seeing William Hartnell's Doctor steal the TARDIS for the first time was one of those true WOW moments for old time Who fans.
I think Matt is the definitive Doctor. When he was originally cast I recognised he had a bit of most previous Doctors in him as well as that quirky awkwardness that makes him a bit special. With his Doctor they have explored what makes the Doctor tick a lot more, and especially examined his relationships a lot more intimately. Karen Gillan worked so well with Matt, but you are right about Jenna, she really has something special. I think a lot is down to her relationship with Matt. Matt's Doctor and Jenna's companion are both big kids, so they have an energy most adults have lost. Big eyes and excitement when a situation arises, just like any kid seeing something for the first time. Pure magic. 🙂
