Dr. Neil Phillips '66 England team doctor :-D

I sent one of the '66 celebration pic's and an index card off To Dr. Neil Phillips via a private address on Monday the 9th of May. Today these have been returned by Mr/Dr Phillips signed but he has signed the back of the celebraton pic, Still a fantastic reply for me

The year was 1963 and Dr Neil Phillips was working as a GP in Middlesbrough when a phone call came through that was to change his life. “My name is Ramsay, Alf Ramsay, I am the England manager and I want you to become the doctor to the England under-23 team.” And so began a relationship that would see Dr Phillips working as sports doctor to some of England’s greatest football legends and with a place on the touchline for the 1966 World Cup. He stayed on as one of two England team doctors until Sir Alf was sacked by the Football Association in 1974.

The member who helped me out with this address has asked me to keep it to myself so I will be respecting his wishes so please don't ask for the address. Thank you and thank you Dr. Neil Phillips a very nice addition to my 1966 world cup collection.

Dr.Neil Phillips one of the boys from '66.
