Disappointing news from Chelsea

I will put pics later i had 5 TTM replys today but 2 were failures sent photos to chelsea for ramires and essien i got them all back with a letter from the club saying they will no longer be allowing players to sign anything in this way as it is being abused and a lot of items are ending up on auction sites as they cannot tell the genuine chelsea fans request from those that are out to make money a new policy has been laid down no more signing by mail unless for charity :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

oh dear and they seemed so willing one of the clubs who did seem to reply so often but it is the genuine fans who miss out again

I think they miss an opportunity doing this. If they sign for everyone they devalue the autograph value and hurt the dealers/signers. By stopping signing they drive prices up, and only the dealers/signers they want to stop will benefit in the long run.

However, it all comes down to the same old cookie - they get annoyed by the deceit, and you can understand them being upset. This reaction is common across the board in our hobby.

Another way they could beat the dealers/sellers is to sell signed merchandise at affordable prices through their own club shop.

WHAT A SHAME AND THEY HAVE BEEN GREAT TTM TO THEIR FANS.

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH NIGEL THOUGH THAT BY SIGNING EVERYTHING THE DEALERS LOSE INTEREST WHERE AS NOW THE PRICES WILL RISE.

I UNDERSTAND THEM DOING THIS THOUGH AS IT MUST BE SO FRUSTRATING BUT YET AGAIN THE DEALERS HURT THE TRUE FANS..

That's a real shame. Chelsea have been very good to the fans but it only takes a few to ruin it for the genuine collectors.

oh no.... i sent a couple of photos to didier drogba, a couple of weeks back, as i can't get him ip, although one was from the club shop, that may help. maybe i should try with my season ticket no. under my name in the future, sy are you  a member ? or season ticket holder ? try adding your number in another request?

what a shame i've got a couple of replys to send to them, i read on the wigan site that they sign autographs but seen a couple of replys, but i think chelsea will stick to the rule

by the way when did you send your requests ?

nigel - they do sell some stuff signed in the megastore (some ex players and current ones) bit pricey for me, but they sell books at their RRP with no extra cost for the signature.

I did have a season ticket but decided this year not to renew because the wife is pregnant so money was needed elsewhere ,i also have a few i sent out in the last few weeks to chelsea so i expect them back with the letter .

thats a real shame, they were one of the best ttm like united, hope united dont start the same but i fear they might eventually, the whole ttm just gets abused

Perry the Chelsea dragon these were sent nearly 2 weeks apart and although i have had 1 or 2 results via the training ground i tend not to send to the recent team mainly ex players autographs i send for so no i dont think i have sent too many too chelsea .
Thanks the baby is due in about 6 to 8 weeks and we know its a girl great as we have 2 boys 🙂

although im selling a few items they are for my under 13s cricket teams benefit not mine and i do ask for permission to sell the items in the letter i write and explain the cause.....its dissapointing news for people who have our great hobby

#16 - What you do is honourable and for a good cause. The people who pretend to be fans/collectors only to sell are the ones who cause the problems like this.
