I popped over to Forbidden Planet yesterday lunchtime to pickup my latest batch of Valiant comics. I can never resist having a mooch while there. It is an Aladdin's Cave of temptations.

Decided to try issue 1 of Bedlam from Image Comics which looked interesting. Picked up two versions. One signed by by writer Nick Spencer, and the other signed by cover artist Frazer Irving. I paid £3.99 for these, and was surprised to see the Nick Spencer signed issue is already selling on eBay for £9.99!

I also picked up a signed 1st edition of Ash by James Herbert which I plan to read while off work next week. These are cover price which is again cheaper than eBay prices.

What a great store Forbidden Planet is and you are so right it is just a temptation from the minute you step inside until you leave.  Good luck with the James Herbert, it certainly is a long book.  I purchased it on Amazon Kindle for 20p!!

Great comics Nigel and another book. Can't believe the cheap prices for new signed books in the UK. No one seems to do book signings down here - probably because everyone is buying online
