Do members remember the signed Programme I got back with a book from Shearer a couple of weeks ago, An Event that Alan Shearer played a couple of frames in a celebrity snooker match back in 1996 with Jimmy White and Tony Knowles plus others..Well the 9 year old who played against Tony Knowles that night was a lad called Chris Norbury. He has since gone on to become a profession Snooker player but lost his place on the pro tour last season. Anyway he still lives locally and plays pool a couple of nights a week for a pub in Accrington. Knowing he'd be there last night I popped in with the 2 programmes signed by Shearer Jimmy White and Tony Knowles..bought him a pint and asked him to add his name to the programmes..he couldn't believe I still had these programmes after so long and that the 3 Stars on the night had now signed them..he was more than happy to add his name to them for me...Cheers Chris..Now to track down the then 13 year old who played against Jimmy White..Justin Astley.. no relation to Rick I don't think.
