:) A quick Knock knock :)

Hi guys,

This one was a quick one.

I found myself in and around Gainsborough and Rotherham today, so on my travels between the two i decided to call and see Mr Maurice Setters again. I had thought to leave this shirt with just the two goal scorers on it but then thought why not:)

I knocked on Mr Setters front door, and soon he answered. Good morning Mr Setters, sorry to bother you again but would you please sign my 63 shirt for me" "Hello again, yes of course i will, come in" We then went into his little office set up in his kitchen and he sat down at a small table and took my shirt out from its packet. "Ahh, you have the Law man on it, how is Denis?" I replied "The last time i met him he was fine, Denis is Denis as i'm sure you know lol:)" " A real character that man" Yes he is and also a very considerate man " I replied. " You see Sir, i lost my father this time last year and when i last met Denis , we got onto the subject of his cancer and i told him about my Dad being in hospital. He sent my dad a message to his phone telling him he was in his thoughts" Mr Setters replied " Did he, well that was indeed considerate of him" He then looked at the shirt and asked " Where would you like me to sign it?" "At the top please" Then he signed my shirt "Best Wishes" Thank you Mr Setters:)

Now this is where i made a right idiot of myself 🙂 As i was leaving i said "It's been really nice to meet you again Denis!!!!!!. To which he replied "The name's Maurice " whilst laughing :^O Ooops!! Sorry Maurice LOL . You see as our conversation had been about Denis, the name was stuck in my head ha hahha He saw the funny side though:)

Years ago I met ex Liverpool player Brian Hall at Anfield with a friend who did a write up for the Argyle programme on Brian's time at Argyle.When I got him to sign my photos afterwards he was talking about a lot of the players he'd played with.He was looking at a Burnley team photo and was talking about Paul Fletcher and then signed over Paul,instead of himself!
