A couple of finds on Christmas Eve

First up is something different for me. It is a paperback and cost me 70p. Tail-End Charlie by Alwin "Bobby" Watts. He spent a lifetime connected with horse racing including a spell as a head lad for the Queen's race horse trainer. Not a comfort zone for me, but he sounds a character, and gives me a chance to read about a different life.

Next up is a bit of an oddity for £1. It is Brian Clough's bio from 1994, but not signed by him. It is however signed by what looks like a bunch of Derby players frm the mid 90s. I spotted Paul Simpson, Lee Carsley, and Dean Yates.

Re: A couple of finds on Christmas Eve

Couple of cracking books Nigel. Great bargains. In the Brian Clough book under the "Best wishes" is Roy McFarland. Not sure of the others at the moment. Brilliant, well done.

Pity the Cloughie book wasn't signed by him but what a great multi signed book to find.

Two nice finds, Nigel especially the multi-sig book.

I'm sure some of the others will work out who some of the other sigs are.
