In response to industry feedback to reduce product marking costs for businesses, the UK Government has announced the indefinite recognition of EU requirements, including the CE marking, applicable to several product regulations in the UK.

This means that the UKCA and the CE marking will continue to be recognised as valid routes for placing products on the GB market. Business sellers will therefore have the flexibility to use either the UKCA or CE marking for product categories that benefit from the CE recognition in the UK.

Please be aware that the UK Government regularly organises webinars for sellers who are using the UKCA and CE markings to place goods on the market in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. If you’d like a more detailed overview of the new regulation and ask questions you may have, you can check the link with the time slots available.
