***Sellers: New search improvements help buyers find your items***

Hello,

We’re excited to announce improvements to our product identifier search experience.

From today, buyers can search for items on eBay simply by entering its GTIN, UPC, EAN, ISBN or MPN directly into the search bar. Listings that contain the required identifiers will receive better search visibility, so make sure you’ve added these to all of your eligible listings.

Find out more about product identifiers on eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie.

We’re also streamlining our item number search.

Now, when buyers search for an item by its unique eBay item number, they’ll be taken to the search results page showing all active items that match. In the past, buyers would be taken directly to the unique item page for that product.

To search for sold items that are no longer active, you can:

  • Search for the item number, and then click Completed Listings from the left hand pane.
  • Look up your items in My eBay.
  • Visit this URL, adding your eBay item number to the end: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/*

* For IE: http://www.ebay.ie/itm/

Regards,

The eBay Team
