This is not a *slimming club* really.

I think it would be nice to have a place to come & chat about weight loss ideas (safe sensible ones only please!),
to share personal experiences and achievements, and also to ask for help.

Lindi is our resident expert, and has kindly offered her help.
Just introduce yourself and come on in, you are most welcome!

Hi all
guess no one has heard of thermo slimmer then.
Bought some to try, apparently speeds metabolism. Will find out when I next weigh.

Good morning friends

Today's rather early Atkins inspired brekkie is a nice light bat testicle souffle with a boiled egg washed down with a slow-comfortable-screw-against-the-wall with added ginseng and angostura bitters to calm the old breath down.

I thank you.

Hi everyone

I didn't go to WI this week as it was our sons 4th birthday & we were out & about having fun at the time lol.
Will start pointing from today & hope for the best as we are having a party for him on saturday.
If the weather is good (fingers crossed) we will be doing a barby'so chicken & salad will fit in perfectly! lol
We have bought a couple of boxes of wine so that may be my downfall, lol.
Just got to keep thinking about that holiday & stay on the straight & narrow.
How have you all done?

Chat soon

I put my foot in it yesterday.

In Boots I weighed myself. Found out I have stayed the same. "Phew" says I. "Now when I face the dragon on Monday she won't yell at me" (she's a substitute consultant for one more week). Guess who was standing near me? Yep, the dragon!

Oops and double oops. That'll teach me to keep my mouth shut. Monday is going to be fun..... :8}

Lollys atkins inspired breakfast today (prepared by me) was a rather meagre affair, a tripe and mushroom ommelete washed down with a pint of whipping cream.

hes gone now to lick the urinals at kings cross - you know to keep the old breath down, bloody singed my eyebrows when he kissed me goodbye!

little bugger!!!

I'm truly dreading going along this Thursday, as I went to France fior 3 days at the weekend, and although I had every intention of eating according to SW, my intentions didn't even last the ferry trip over! Oh well, back to it!!

Was seriously cheesed off today, I took my lads to Matalan and George (Asda) for some cheap holiday clothes, and could get NOTHING for me, I could have had my entire holiday wardrobe for next to nothing if I wasn't such a bloater! Bought flip flops and earrings - the only things that bl**dy fit!!

Ended up going to the weigh in last night, and rushing back to watch Sky News.

Managed to lose 1 lb. Coming off slowly.

Kate - Asda is cheap, isn't it? I managed to get my son's entire school uniform for £45 (including a coat). Excellent value.

Good morning everyone 🙂

I missed my WI last week but it's looming up today lol, no place to hide now, no get out excuses for me left lol.
I haven't tracked for two weeks despite saying I would! Hmmmm
That usually gives me an instant gain!
I don't feel like I have lost any so will keep my fingers crossed for tonight @ 5.30.
Well done Jay, another 1lb, that's brilliant.

Good luck for thursday Kate, you have 3 days to repair any damage! lol @ da flip flops & earrings!

I have had an irritating cough since friday & haven't really had much of an appetite, although a few chokky things have fell into my hands when opening the fridge!

Time to get back on track AGAIN, will let yas know how I get on later! EEEeeek!

Have a nice day B-)

brother popped over I ate 3 digestives with a cuppa,

Hi everyone 🙂

WI last night lost another 2 ½ lbs! 😄

Jay - well done, 1lb off is better than on and remember that you have a better chance of keeping it off when you lose slower.

Kate - go to the meeting! It's better to face the music and do something about it rather than put it off and start gaining again.

Sparkle - Good luck for tonight hun

Golfi - did you know that 1 digestive biscuit has an average of 73 calories in it? To work that off you would need to do 15 minutes on a rowing machine on a high setting! The supposed daily allowance for a woman is meant to be 1000 calories so just by eating those 3 biccies that is almost a quarter of your daily calorie intake. 😮

You sound like you need to eat more fruit/veg (5 portions a day) and drink at least 2 litres of water a day.

If you feel bloated you might want to try giving up bread/pasta for a week and seeing how much weight you lose/how you feel.

Also try varying your meals, you'll find that this helps the weight loss faster as you body doesn't have the chance to get used to eating the same foods everyday thus knowing what to store as fat, use as energy etc. When you change your meals your body uses it up a lot more as energy as it won't know what the next meal is.

Do you do much exercise? Are you following a weight loss programme such as Slimming World/Weight Watchers?

Best of luck to everyone this week 🙂

Hi every1, looks like im among friends here.
I have been trying to diet for years! Recently had my third child and decided to go back to WW.
This time round i exercise (well walking mainly), only eat pasta once a week, and try not to eat after about 7pm. This time round it seems to be working!! 8 weeks down the line and 20lbs lighter. And have only put on once and that was after my holiday. Long way to go yet mind.
Oh and i always treat myself after weigh in. Gives me a little something extra to look forward to.
Weigh in tonight so ive got everything crossed!!

I am not following any diet, I am 5' 9" and wear a 10-12, but the 12 is tight, not burtsting but snug, so i know I have gained weight,
OMG how many in a digestive 😐

I do exercise, but not as much as norm, due to holidays and kids being off, hope to hit the gym and go swimming in september 🙂
