Seller sent an item to me, Royal Mail, did not receive it

I bought an LED mask from a seller.  I cant stay in 24/7 as work, which is the case for a lot of people. I never received this mask. It was showing as delivered. I asked the neighbours, nothing. I contacted ebay and the seller, and the seller said it was for me to chase up with the tracking number (ROYAL MAIL), but on Royal Mail it says its for the one that posted it to chase it up.  I messaged the seller on Ebay to say that Royal Mail said on their site that its for the one that sent it to chase up. They did not reply.  Then days went by and I could ask for ebay help, which I did and they closed the CASE and said for me to contact the ones that sent it, royal mail. So at a loss now, why should I be out of pocket, its not my fault if I have not got this? what can I do? I cant seem to get on live chat about this to chat to them again to say dont think its fair, its not my fault it has not arrived.  I have been on the ROYAL MAIL site and again it says for the one that sent it to contact. What do I do, how do I get my money back for this?  as the case is closed, ebay closed it. Thanks Michele
