Not one I've came across before, but the usual dear customer, no name.
saying I had overpaid for two years and was due a refund, fill the online form in, no doubt asking for bank details.

The thing is, they do contact you to remind you that your TV licence is due for renewal. Just don't click any links, go to the .gov website directly.

I know they do send reminders, but they would have a name on and a proper email address.
Plus we haven't paid a licence for the last two years.

Yes, but the report could be confusing for some by saying the TV licensing don't contact you by email?
Yeah, once you're over 75 the TV licence is free. I suppose if you've paid for a licence then some months later you reach 75, do they give you a refund for the remaining months?
