Withdraw item

With a Buy Now item that I now wish to withdraw, can I just

go ahead or must i wait until the Time Left date expires?

Nope,  as long as there are no pending offers,  these need to be declined or you need to wsit 48 hours for them to expire,  you can withdraw that item from sale.
