Selling 2DS/3DS - A warning

Could of posted this a while ago but didn't think of it. I sold a sealed 2DS and once it arrived got a message saying none of the buttons worked so I just said send back and I'll give a full refund. Sadly he'd ripped the box open but anyway.

I tested it, he was right, none of the buttons worked. I checked the traces, nothing obvious so just shelved it. Then a few months later decided to sell my 3DS and factory reset it. What happend? None of the buttons worked! They don't work UNTIL you setup via the touchscreen.

I jumped on the 2DS and that was it. It was perfectly fine its just Nintendo decide, for stupid reasons, that the buttons won't work until its setup via the touchscreen.

How annoying. I couldn't tell the original buyer this as all messages had gone by that point. Oh well, sold it on as new but opened later, sadly for not as much as the original sale.
