1000000000 monthly limit. Private sellers. £1,017,774,560.66 monthly limit. Why?

Ebay have removed the selling limit from my account:

But, you can still list or sell up to 999999925 items more to reach your 1000000000 monthly limit. Or you can list or sell up to £1,017,762,021.81 more to reach your £1,017,774,560.66 monthly limit.

But I don't sell much so why remove the limit?

I don't receive multiple offers interactions or questions so why do it?

If I ever receive an offer or question it is usually a dealer trader, just one member, where is the 'public'??

What do ebay get out of this because I was told it was a test...

A test for what?

9 feedback, 41 sales, 57.1 positive feedback and I am 'above standard' Member since: 04 Aug, 2022

£1,017,774,560.66 monthly limit as a private seller.

Appreciate your thoughts!

Why does any of it matter? I'm trying to understand what axe you have to grind with this, why is it worth your time to argue about it?

Not being funny but with those aggressive item descriptions nobody is going to buy anything, your real concern should be making yourself look like a seller someone wants to deal with and build the feedback score up above 90% asap if you really want to stay selling on eBay. The next month may be the last grace period you get from ebay before an account suspension.

Who else can list a trillion items in a month with a trillion £££ limit as a PRIVATE SELLER?

Email directly from ebay! See attachments!!

The eyeballs can see I tell no lies. 100% FACT!

Who else? All the sellers (business and private) that already have/will in the future have no limits.

(I wasn't disagreeing with you, incidentally, so I don't need to see the attachment)

I am asking the original question:

1000000000 monthly limit. Private sellers. £1,017,774,560.66 monthly limit. Why?

Because this is happening in real time right now to my private account and should be available to all private sellers now.

Why not roll it out to every seller now in real time?

(No that's ok, the attachments are available for everyone to see!)

(Any suspensions on my account have nothing to do with you because you are just a conversationalist)

I recently had my selling limit removed. Looking at the images from @white-van-man I received 1 and 2, but sadly missed out on number 3. It would've given me a good old laugh to be told I could list up to 1 billion pounds of items. As if.

Most likely eBay won't be able to apply an unlimited cap on it without making their system glitch. An arbitrary number that nobody can ever reach will have been the obvious workaround.

I have no limit on my account. I have the following message - We removed the selling limit from your account, so now you can list as many items as you like.
