trace a parcel using eCP code?

Hi all.

I sold an item and dispatched it to the buyer c/o a collection point at a local shop. I bought the Royal Mail postage label via ebay. The address included this code: eCP:BQGGKLFT.

The buyer says the item never arrived, so have refunded him.

The label also had the delivery address, and my return address, as well as the eCP code.

Yes, I can claim the postage cost back from Royal Mail. No, it wasn't tracked.

However, I’m wondering if I can locate the parcel using this eCP code. In other words, can I check if the parcel DID arrive and the buyer is telling porkies?

Thanks for any pointers.

PS. I’m not a newbie. Over the past few years I’ve sold about 500 items (due to house down-sizing), always using standard cheap RM service, and this is the first one not received by a buyer.

No, you can't locate an untracked parcel

Parcels are sent to be destroyed (well, sold off at auction to be sold back on eBay again) if not collected.
