Postage label rejected by Post Office

Hi

I purchased a postage label for an item I had sold.  It was a small parcel, so I chose the 'Shoebox' option, which seemed to have max dimensions that were appropriate for the item, with a weight up to 1Kg.  For 48 Hour tracked, I paid £2.70.  The provided label stated 'Large Letter' though, and consequently the Post Office rejected it.  Unfortuanately, despite rejecting it, the clerk at the PO must have processed it as received because I was then unable to cancel the label and purchase another one.

Has anyone else had this problem?  Why does the system state 'Shoebox', and the label then say 'Large Letter'.  How can I get this postage payment refunded?

If that happens you "can" simply pay any extra at the Post Office [though they may not know how to do it]

To get a refund collect all the documents and write to Freepost Customer Services Royal Mail PLYMOUTH - use a letter [of course] as they are good with them!
