Click and collect on replacement item

Hi,

Item received was faulty and seller is sending a replacement.

eBay showing as a return and expecting a refund back to me from seller. 

he has said he's sending a replacement 2 days ago and I guess to the original click and collect address! So how would the collection code be generated? Or would it be generated?? 

any info how this would work when a replacement is sent instead of a refund and sent to the click and collect address?

If you ever get an item that is not as described the best way to go is to request a return for a full refund at sellers cost (business or private ,makes no difference) and then you buy again from a more reputable seller.

Exchanges,replacements and partial refunds often end up with hassle a buyer didn't request or need.
