Account permanently restricted with £576.00 on hold.

I provided all the purchasing receipts along with my Credit Card statement as proof of purchase. They still restricted my account without cause. Now I have £576.00 on hold. Buyers already left me positive feedback but I am still out of pocket.

What can I do to get my funds released?

I'm thinking this is probably more to do with your seller status.

You may just have to wait the 170 days eBay often warn about.

Yes, sadly I am suffering under this rule by eBay also and have been told by representatives I will be waiting a minimum of 170 days. Some say 1-2 years. One representative also said I'm better off not expecting that money to return at all.

That is a terrible thing to say and for you to hear, and sadly we hear here all the time incorrect statements and information given by eBay Customer Services.
