Van sale

We've just sold our van on eBay. The person who bought it has paid the funds via bank transfer. They then advised they bought it on behalf of a friend. The friend has just contacted me to say he will send a driver to collect as he has just had an operation. It sounds dodgy but we do have the money in our bank account?

And I believe that there isn't any way of them later claiming the funds back via eBay?

eBay offer no protection for vehicles.

No matter what bank transfer cannot be reclaimed through eBay.
