I sold a fishing rod on eBay I put the postage as eBay recommended and when I took to post office the price doubled so told the seller and all he did was call me a scammer and put that on a negative feedback how do I stand with this I think it's out of order

It's unfortunate that you got the postage price wrong for your item, but you're not allowed to ask your buyer for more money. The postage price showing on the listing forms part of the sales contract. 

 

The negative feedback that they've left indicates how they feel about how the transaction went, which obviously wasn't great for them.

You can't ask a buyer for extra postage.

You do have to check that you are charging sufficient postage - there is no guarantee that the postage estimated/recommended by Ebay will be enough.

What has happened?  Has the buyer asked you to cancel the sale and refund them?
