Hi. I recently shipped an expensive consignment of books to a German buyer (value = 175gbp), using Parcel2Go smartsend function, whereby the customs information is pre-populated from ebay onto the CN23 form and the commercial invoice. The delivery was via Parcelforce with the customs documents and commercial invoice attached in an envelope to the parcel. It has been returned immediately by German customs stating "missing or deficient customs documents".
Assuming the documents reached them, can anyone advise on the sort of things that German customs might deem to be "deficient"?
(I've experienced this sort of thing before with german customs, and generally it gets through on a second attempt, but I'm loathe to risk it given the cost of shipping.)
