Paid return postage when my item was recalled

I bought 2 batteries ,eBay messaged to say they were dangerous and should be sent back ,the listing was removed .I paid the return postage because I put I changed my mind because there was no other option .

If you chose change of mind then the system prepares you to pay for that fuly tracked return postage.

The batteries were not fit for purpose, so item not as described was the one to select.

You can message the seller to return the cost of that postage,  but there's nothing to enforce them to do so, as eBay do not get involved in postage disputes.
