Ebay Un-necessarily Removing VAT Amounts From Zero Rate Used Equipment On Export Sales

As far as i know, you should only remove the UK VAT charges from export items that are new, on used equipment, listed as USED and with a zero rate, there is no removeable VAT, the price advertised should remain as is and not be reduced for export purposes.

I think money is owed here?

Anyone?

Ebay Un-necessarily Removing VAT Amounts From Zero Rate Used Equipment On Export Sales

While I have little idea how "eBay operates VAT on items for export" the basic system seems to be that to areas in the EU it adds the delivery country's VAT and no doubt passes it on.

The general rule on exports is that all are zero rated.  That would apply [from registered traders] to all sales whether old, new, second hand or antique.

Unless I am completely missing what you mean.        @lamcomms
