Closing a restricted Ebaysucks account

Hi folks

I had my account unfarily restrcited and they are refusing to close my account. Has anyone had sucess in closing an account and if so how or do I need to take legal action againt them ?

Provided you have no recent sales you can close your account yourself here

It won't let me - that's my problem. I've contacted them as as i have a permanemt selling restriction they refusde to close it. Apparrently i have no way round it. - but thank you

Your profile is showing errors,but you have one positive this month so until all transactions have cleared,you account will remain open to deal with any disputes etc,but not for selling/buying,in accordance with the reason for restriction!

unless things have changed eBay won't close an account that has restrictions on it.

If you cannot close and not allowed to use it, just stop using or trying to use and it will become dormant, once any outstanding amounts due to ebay have been cleared.

I believe this too, but it does fly in the face of security protocols.

Possibly but it keeps all links on eBay servers in case they open a new account to sell.
