Utterly gobsmacked...

All I want to do is send a "cute" mug to to an elderly relative in Canada.

The whole little box weighs less than 500g - but I have to pay as if it weighed more than a kilo.

What money-grabbing TOAD invented volumetric pricing????

AAARGHHHH!!!!!

That is absolutely ridiculous.  Not surprised you're gobsmacked.

No! I was looking at Parcelforce and couriers.  It's less than half the price sent as a small packet!

CB - Thank you!

Before I got the computer I used to send loads of parcels to Canada and the US - now I order direct from their US or Canadian florists - they also do chocolates with flowers and baskets of goodies at Christmas.

Which is all very well until you want to add a personal touch and find you are so very out of touch with postage changes.  I thought I was going to have to pay £32.60!!!!
