Right then what do I do with my apples, garage or shed for storage

I have loads of them and according to someone on the tv the other night I should store them to make them sweeter, as they are late ones and they taste bleurgh.  I don't have a lot of room in the garage or the shed but I could make some, I know how to store them but I am not too sure if the shed might be too cold.

I have never had this problem before as I have only ever had one or two and they have fallen off before they are ready.

where ever you pick you need to be able to check them regularly - say once a week  or so

have you a bedtoom where you can turn off the heating, or have it really low?

I would say the colder the better, when we used to pick apples and pears for Christmas they were stored in trays in cold store, they were then bought into the packing shed to be put into boxes with cardboard sections. Any fruit that had started to go soft was not packed. We did this from the end of the picking season up until nearly christmas.

Just make sure the mice dont get a nibble if in a shed!
