But also road runner as was a cross country champion and ran for my county (a very long time ago albeit) and if I say so myself was once quite good at it

My nickname 'Pip' was given to my by my mum. I was always munching on an apple. Living near to an orchard was easy picking of course.

All my g/kida have pet names but always associate "nick names" as nasty .............................. maybe cos I was bullied as a kid

Kip or Kipper and I have no idea why. It was only my dad that called me that.

Penguin! I'm flat footed and my feet turn out so I walk like one.... apparently. Lost it for many years and then out one night a mate said "Do you know you walk like a Penguin?" And it ended up as the name of a motor cylce club me and an ex started , the Prickly Penguin MTC, which became the Penguins MCC!

Mine was Tuppy, which was a shortened version of Tuppence as I was the youngest in the family and obviously the smallest.

in secondary school one guy used to call me Twiggy as I have always been fat. Somehow though it always made me laugh, I don't think he was being cruel, I think he just thought it was funny!!!!
