When bidding on an item

Recently when Im bidding on an item the timer runs down and I win the auction, only for the clock to reset to 59sec giving other bidders the opprtunity to put higher bids in and win the auction.

This is a regular thing and I want to know why EBay are doing this.

Anybody else have this issue

When bidding on an item

If your auction countdown is not behaving correctly, check to make sure your computer's time is set correctly, and the date and time are synchronized with an internet time server such as time.windows.com or time.nist.gov.

Check your computer's time here:

https://time.is/

If your computer's time is ahead by one minute your auction countdown will be off by one minute as well. When your countdown reaches zero there will still be one minute left in the auction for others to bid, but you will not be able to bid since your countdown has already indicated that the auction is over even if your clock appears to start counting down from 59 seconds again.

If your computer's clock is actually synchronized then this problem does not occur.
