Been a bit busy this week, and this is the first chance to post my successes.

Len Ashurst joined Liverpool in 1953 as an apprentice. After being released, he joined Sunderland in 1957, where he would go on to spend 14 years. He made his debut the following year against Ipswich Town and went on to make 458 appearances for the club; putting him second in the all time appearances list in Sunderland's history, and one of only two outfield players to top 400 appearances. He scored four Sunderland goals during his time at the club.

He was later player manager at Hatlepools before managing Gillingham,Sheffield Wednesday,Newport, Cardiff,Sunderland and Weymouth.

Derek Forster started his career at a Newcastle school team where he also played for the England school team. He then moved to Sunderland as a youth player, where he would progress to become the youngest person to play in the first division at 15 years 185 months. Forster moved up into the senior side, but suffered limited appearances due to the presence of Jim Montgomery. He left Sunderland in 1972 to join Charlton Athletic before moving again to Brighton & Hove Albion where he finished his career.

Bobby Hunt began his career with hometown club Colchester United in 1959, where he made 149 league appearances scoring 81 goals. He was signed by Northampton Town in 1964 where he spent two season, scoring 10 goals in 40 league appearances. Hunt holds the record for the most goals in a Football League season for the U's, notching an 39 goals in one campaign. He moved to Millwall in 1966, scoring 13 in 43 league games, before moving to Ipswich Town, with a record of just four goals in 26 appearances between 1968 and 1971, although he was part of the Second Division winning team of 1967–68. His next club was Charlton Athletic where he scored 11 goals in 36 league games, and was also loaned to former club Northampton, where he scored three goals in five games. He left Charlton for Reading in 1973 where he spent one year, making 16 appearances and scoring three goals. He finished his career with Maidstone United.

Finally,I've now brought my Eastenders collection up to 60 cards after a few more purchases-still quite a way behind Nigel,Greg and a few of the other members.Managed to get most for up to £2 and have managed to get Anna Wing (Lou Beale) and Gretchen Franklin (Ethel) which I was quite pleased with for £3 each.

Great replies and nice additions to the EE collection. Not sure if you have seen them or if you are bothered by variants, but there are two versions of the Charlie Brooks card pictured - one as Janine Malloy and one as Janine Butcher. Also, there is another version of the Jake Wood card which uses the same picture, but is just a head & shoulders close-up.
