Herb Elliott is a former middle distance runner from Australia in August 1958 he set the world record for the mile beating Roger Bannister by 2.1 seconds .The record i think is awesome Herb Elliott never lost a 1500 meters or a one mile race from 1957 to 1961 .he won gold at the 1960 Olympics and gold at the 158 commonwealth games he is now a director of one of the worlds biggest iron ore company's in Australia.it took less than 3 weeks to get there and back well pleased.
