If , as a seller your item is damaged in transit what ebay actually does
is simply issue a return label and debit your account plus postage and
refund the buyer - this happened to me when I asked Ebay to sort it out.

Yeah - right ! I can't believe I'm alone in this - I guess there will be
a class action somewhere down the line for all those sellers who get
their account charged contrary to the stated terms.

Don't bother selling your stuff this way. You will always end up dealing
with the cheapest *bleep*piest courier. I sold an item which was broken
by the courier in transit. Ebay state they will be responsible for
dealing with goods damaged in transit ...
