Thanks for your generous donation to PayPal Giving Fund

I've recently received an email from Paypal thanking me for my generous donation. 

The donation amount was 10p.

At the end of the email they thanked me again for my generosity!

How far do they think 10p will go to help needy people?

Did you actually send PayPal Giving Fund 10 pence or is it a scam/phishing email?

When donating a percentage of the sale price, it goes through PayPal Giving Fund. I usually set this to 10%, so after selling a £1 item I donated 10p.
