I just sold some valuable books for a friend with a 90% donation to charity - a considerable sum (£1,800+). I have a few questions.
1) Is there any way of sending a dedication to the charity with this donation?
2) Despite advice in your guide it appears under the new system I will no longer automatically get a receipt for the donation. Is it possible to obtain one?
3) According to eBay documentation there should have been a "Gift Aid" option when I listed the item, however I couldn't find it. Is there any way to add Gift Aid, even if I don't get a receipt?
Many thanks in anticipation, John

Hi @johnthephone ,
Thank you for your post. I'll answer as best I can
1) As the donations are now done automatically there is no option for a dedication to the charity through eBay.
2) Receipts should still be received from eBay's charity partner PayPal giving fund. Donations are usually made at the end of the month and receipts received within 21 days.
3) The donation receipt should help you with the gift aid for the charity. Please see the details here on the 3rd option for donations.
Hope that helps
Thank you,
Kat
