App not working - update required

Just tried opening the app on my android phone and get the message "this version is no longer supported. Please update to the latest version".  Pressing the "update" goes to Google play but the only options are "Uninstall" or "Open" - no option to update. Pressing "Cancel" closes the app.

I suspect they pushed a new version of the app to deal with the changes introduced overnight but something has gone wrong somewhere.

Anyone else got this issue?

Android 12 now? I don't think so. Who do ebay think they are, dictating what phone I have to have? I'll do without thanks.

Yes, it was changed to Android 12 a few weeks ago.

I think ebay is in self-destruct mode. Whoever is in charge of App development and IT needs flo**ing and sacking.

Heck of a lot of hassle to buy or sell something. Five hundred years ago transactions were simpler. Less likelihood of the taxman taking a slice too.

I have 13.0 and still can't get on to ebay

I took have had big problems I try n pay for a phone but it comes up in red
use a different card as this I declined ! I have money there but why is it
declining everything ????

They used to be awesome, now they just suck
I figure they will self implied in a year or so

Had this issue some time ago. Ebay never resolved so had to delete app and just continue using via ebay website instead.
