App not responding

I’m unable to use my app. Have tried to clear the cache and reinstall the app several times already but same issue

Could you please confirm what device you are using, its software version, and the eBay app version? Also, if you could confirm what error exactly you're getting, I'd be happy to take a further look.

Hi there,

I’m using iphone 16 plus with iOS 18.5.

seems like the app has a problem. When I open the app nothing happens or loads up. I can see the taps but they don’t work.I can’t login neither but I am able to use it on browser.

I hope it helps.

So, you are not getting an error, is it? Are you getting blank screen or the app just not responding? 

 

You said you have the 18.5 version on your iPhone, the latest 18 version at the moment is 18.7 and the latest software available in general is 26. So, I would strongly suggest updating your iPhone software, and try again. If that doesn't work, please confirm which version yo updated to, the eBay app version you have, and send us a screenshot of the full software version numbers you current have installed, and the blank screen or the screen that is not responding, and we will take a further look for you.

Still not working.

the error is saying something went wrong when I try to sign in to my account and when I try to reset password it goes around and around and doesn’t load up

Could you please screenshot the full software version numbers for both the app and your phone's software that you currently have installed, and the log in error you are getting, so I can take a further look for you?

Hi am using iPhone XR iOS 18 7 5  and eBay app not responding.  Asks me to sign in and then just get buffering circle.  Have deleted app and restarted phone then downloaded app again several times but no use 

eBay works in browser and iPad

I have same issue and it has not been fixed since I was looking for solution and I am using web instead of app at the moment

A few sellers have reported similar issues with the app from time to time. If clearing the cache and reinstalling hasn’t helped, it could be a temporary bug or server-side issue. You could try logging in from a browser for now and see if the app starts working again after the next update.

This thread started 4 months ago , and the update given is out of date, but hopefully the peeps there, have had their issues solved.

 

Yes,  there are still problems with the app,  but if you are still experiencing this,  and for anyone else who is experiencing issues,  this was a message a Community manager posted a short while ago,  hope it helps....

 

Delete app cache and data sign our and sign back in again and update with the latest version,  this is,

 

6.2.46.0.1

 

It requires android 12 and up.  Check you have this version and operating system.

Thanks for sharing that update. Good to know the community manager posted the version details as well. Hopefully updating to the latest version and clearing the cache resolves it for anyone still having the issue.

Lets hope so,  there just seems to be so many constant  updates for that beleaguered app,  it's no wonder it causes all these issues !  🙄

Yes it does seem to get updated very frequently. Hopefully one of the upcoming updates brings a bit more stability to the app.
