UK to EU custom tax

The custom charge rules stipulate that  items below €150 from UK to EU you do not have to pay custom charges. But I am seeing items for less than that say 20 having custom charges.

This needs to be resolved

See link from Irish government website for rules.

As there's no allowance for VAT, that is charged and collected by eBay is the price is below the import duty amount.

Re: UK to EU custom tax

I have had so much trouble sending items to the Irish Republic

The last 14 orders sent have resulted in 14 complaining e mail saying that Irish revenue are asking for the recipient to pay VAT plus a surcharge even though E Bay have charged this and are meant to forward this on I have even enclosed the the tax invoice which clearly shows that VAT has been paid to E Bay for forwarding on to the Irish revenue

has anyone else had this trouble and also received black marks on there account by E Bay for late arrival and disputes

Based in ROI ... with an item located within the UK --- If either the Buyer/Seller is based or has an account Registered outside the UK ,  then additional  Import VAT is charged >
