Genuine messages will also come in the Message System, if not then it is a spoof and should be forwarded to spoof@ebay.com

What was the message asking?

If there were any links in it do not click on them.

No one here can verify what you received was or was not a spoof ,  even addresses can be replicated,  but eBay Customer Services,   can verify this,   so contact them to confirm or deny they sent this to you to be sure.

To contact eBay Customer Services, type Advanced Search in to Help & Contact bar top of your eBay page. Scroll down to the bottom of that page, you will see Contact Us, and the option to use Live Chat, and sometimes, there is a Call Back system.

Both options will give you an approximate time you need to wait for a response from their team.
