My item, has not been boxed for collection 8 days later, despite seller marking it as despatche

I bought and paid for an item which was going to be collected by couriers for transport. The item has not been boxed and is still not collected and the seller has marked it as dispatched! The seller has broken our agreement to box the item in four boxes but does not seem to know what she is doing. It has been over a week of all excuses.

Very unwise for you to arrange collection and for the seller to even allow it.

You have no buyer protection and any loss or damage by YOUR Courier is your problem.

Collection items are usually because packaging will be a problem, so it is not really up to the seller to package, if they wanted to do this they would have quoted postage on their listing.

If seller is then expected to package then they would be fully entitled to make a charge for this as it is a service not offered in their listing.

The seller was insistent the item be collected, which was fine, and I would arrange a courier to collect. Prior to me beginning to bid on the item we came to the agreement that as it can be dismantled, (in the posting it says it as well) I then paid for boxes to be gotten by the seller as she would pack the sections in to the boxes. (four of them) BUT noth9ng has been done! I cannnot get the courier company to collect, as she has not bought the boxes or packed or sent me the measurments and weight of each box despite agreeing to these terms. However, she has marked that the item has been despatched, when actually it has not. I then asked her last night to please cancel the sale as this is not working for me. I paid her full Buy it Now, and extra for boxes. And all this was doen AFTER we had had many discussions before finally agreeing to the terms. Why would I insist on collecting something, if it could be posted/couriered? It is a large item, and so yes,, the courier will collect it, as long as it was made readied for him to do so. This is not about the charges, as I am more than willing and actually OFFERED as she did not say anything, and I would not want her out of pocket, so I OFFERED to pay extra for boxes.

Have you paid seller to pack up items?

Collection means YOU go & collect.

If it was a collection only item most sellers prefer to stick with that because often the item is too large, heavy or tricky to package so maybe she changed her mind about allowing you to send a courier.

Did your seller realise that it was an overseas sale?
