I bought an item for £100 that said it was covered by ebay money back guarantee, however when the item didnt turn up my case was closed and i didnt get a refund.

Ive got a picture to prove i emailed the account and that it was covered. Breen trying to get through to someone on the phone for weeks but i can get through

You either failed to escalate and it just ran out of time or seller provided tracking to prove delivery.

If you did nothing open a Not Received Case with Paypaland escalate after 2 days and before day 20.

If tracking showed as delivered there is nothing you can do.

So you're not caught out in future, properly read Ebay's 30-day Money Back Guarantee. It's on every eligible listing, and in various other places across the site.

when the item didn't arrive did you go to the Resolution Centreand open a not received case?

if you did this you then had  to return to the case after 8 days and ask ebay to step in and refund you,

sellers only win not received cases if they provide a tracking number that shows the item was delivered

what happened in your case?

I did return to the case but it wouldn't give me the option to forward it. I've been ringing ebay everyday for 2 weeks and I can't get through.
I've had no luck with PayPal either

you bought that item back in January!

you are out of time for an ebay case, that is why you can't escalate it

you only have 30 days to open an ebay case that can be escalated, if you leave it longer than 30 days, you are allowed to open a case, but it is outside of the money back guarantee and ebay cannot force a refund,


you need to open a case through paypal instead

I understand that I wasn't within the 30 days, however the seller was contacting me saying he was having trouble with his suppliers and it would be two weeks until I had it which took me outside the 30 days

you were 'had' log into your paypal account and open a case there, ebay can't help you

Escalate paypal case after 2 days, ignore seller excuses.
