Ebay Breach Of My Privacy via Third Party

Today like over 100 times before I ordered something from Ebay. Instead of getting the usual acknowledgement from Ebay and Paypal I received an email direct from the seller advising that they had set up an account for me (without my consent) using my Ebay account details and username and my private email address which could only have come from Ebay. This was a direct communication from the seller to my email address and not the way it has always happened before i.e. Via Ebay. I believe this to be a clear breach of my personal privacy rights but what can i do about it? Best regards.

What was it you purchased ??

Without paymernt details, passwords etc the info you mention is useless to anyone & as pointed out that info is supplied to all sellers with your payment

In order to process transactions some business sellers create an account (not a payments or ordering account) on their systems for the purchase......

It would only be a data breach if that seller passed on the details to a 3rd party not involved in a transaction with you

GDPR allows eBay to pass on any information required to fulfill your order which will include

Username
Given Name

Email address

Delivery Address

Phone number
