Re: he Iron Lady - Maggie

"Funny how I don't recall seeing their signatures on closure notices."

What might you have been looking for on that? If it was "kiss*my*pixel's" Dad, then you might not have found very much :^O

How could you find a signature on a closure notice when you don't actually know the people with whom you are speaking?

Am I being a bit dim here (entirely possible)!?!

Re: he Iron Lady - Maggie

As you say, quite possibly;-). We don't all argue from a point of our own pocket, or our own immediate family.

You're probably right, but if you wouldn't mind humouring me, please. ;-)You specifically said "Funny how I don't recall seeing their signatures on closure notices"

Could you just explain what closure notices you would have been researching. There would have been a lot during that time. And I repeat my question, how could you possibly tell what signatures on what closure notices you were looking at and didn't recall?

I'm sure you have the answer, but I can't see it at the moment.

Thanks 🙂

Re: he Iron Lady - Maggie

Why would that equate to your immediate family, or did they work for everything that was closed.Clearly not. It should be obvious it was the same type of remark as yours, though less concerned with just one's own family.

Haven't you got a bullying thread to pretend who it's not about?

Re: he Iron Lady - Maggie

yup , you bet.if you dont like the wages...get out of the job...no one owes a persona a job...like i say...my role in life is to look after my family...and if everyone look after thier families like we used to many years ago...we wouldnt be spending millions on old people in care homes who have kids living down the road who cant be bothered to visit let alone look after them...i do understand theres many that do have elderly parents in care homes who cant look after them because of nursing reasons...but theres a lot who find them a hinderence on their far too busy money earning life. like i said...i dont see the point in protesting or striking..and get sick of seeing these so called dreadlocked trendy ..middle class college type socialists smashing up london for any political reason...im working class and i dont need those idiots speaking on my behalf...go to college..enjoy your wealth that your ashamed of...cos i bleeding well would, end of.

Re: he Iron Lady - Maggie

Generally true to say demands for either improved pay and conditions is assumed automatically to be a bad thing, where a company hiking up it's prices etc is just another commercial decision.

Workers have every right in my opinion to request pay rises and to withdraw their labour if they are not satisfied with their remuneration - what they can't justifiably do is blame others if their actions result in the loss of their jobs

As regards conditions then I'm not convinced, the growth in the Health and Safety industry would suggest that demands for better conditions is not automatically assumed to be a "bad thing"

Re: he Iron Lady - Maggie

I don't think I mentioned my immediate family in this instance, SalfordMarinade. I was merely asking you how you could possibly know what signatures you claimed to know were on any closure notices, and you haven't clarified tat, so I'm still a little puzzled.

As for the rest of your last post, it is not very clear what you mean, seems a bit "rambling" to me

Sorry if I've got that wrong - have a nice evening 🙂

Oh, Sweetie Pie - that was a post much earlier on, nothing to do with yours. Pete and I will work it out amicably. Yet you still haven't answered my question. I think you need to do better next time. Nighty night :-x

Re: he Iron Lady - Maggie

Oh dearie, mine was nothing much to do with you either sweetie pie.But you seemed to launch straight in..I wonder why;-)

I was moved by your 'I lived in a baked bean tin in the middle of the road and still gave away all my CB.'..really!

I thought the level of candour was on par with your bullying thread and who it was about

I have answered, if you don't understand, that is hardly my problem now is it hunny bun.

Are you intent like your partner in this to derail another thread sweetness?
