grey box at the bottom of ebay pages

what is this grey box that keeps popping up at the bottom of ebay pages?

There's never anything in it, just solid grey. It's driving me nuts.

That looks like an Advert Pop-up , which while the ad has been blocked, the box is still appearing

yeah that makes sense and it seems my ad block is working well. And if you're listening ebay you can stuff your ads where the sun doesn't shine.

I'm not sure if that pop up has got anything to do with eBay TBH?

It looks like one of those sneaky add-ons like Price Gong or Pricegrabber etc that come hidden in with other software and toolbar downloads.

I would temporarily turn off your Ad blocker so you can find out exactly what it is and where it came from.

so ironic, I switched the adblock off and tried surfing around eby but that grey pop-up never appeared. aaaarrrggghhh.

this grey box only appears on ebay pages, never anywhere else. What I did notice though was how the pages filled with ads, all loud and flashing, and how the ads slowed down my browser and made it less responsive than usual. adblock is now back on, return to quiet sanity....
